I purchased these sneakers back in 2011, trying to find a comfortable shoe to deal with horrible foot and leg pain due to pregnancy. I literally could not put my foot to the floor without feeling pain, they were THAT sensitive. My husband's co-worker, who has horrible back problems, recommended I give these a try as these are one of the only pairs of shoes she can wear comfortably. I'm so glad I did! The moment I stood in these shoes, I felt relief! It felt like walking on a cloud. So soft and bouncy! It took a few steps to get use to the balance of the shoe, but after a day, it was not an issue. These sneakers saw me through my entire pregnancy in comfort! After baby, I decided to give these shoes a whirl on the treadmill as well - no problems there either! I have since worn these out and am purchasing another pair. I cannont say enough good things about these shoes! My only negative (though not an issue with me) about this shoe is it's advertised as a "shape-up" or toner shoe. It's been proven these shoes (or any other tone-up shoe) do no such thing for the legs. Really folks, exercise is the key - not your sneakers. But for comfort - these fit the bill 100%!!! Buy them! You'll love em!I bought the pink/black/silver pair. I received the black/silver and they are great. If you are looking for the black with pink on bottom and silver dots all over, they are not under this category, PICTURE IS MISLEADING!That's the color I thought I was going to get, but did not, it all worked out for the best though, I love my shoes.I tried my friends on first and I am usually a size 8 and they were sort of snug, so I bought an 8.5 and they fit perfect.I love that the toners are much better looking then the regular shape-ups. You can't see no bumps or anything unless you look on bottom of your shoes. I had no hurting pains like normal brand new shoes that you have to wear for days before they are comfortable. Very comfortable shoe and I only wish they made a nice attractive one in all white like they have for the black one. I will probably go ahead and buy the white/light blue/silver so I have some to wear with my light clothes too.I just wore these for the first time today, ALL day, and didn't want to take them off. They have a nice "springy" feeling to them and you do feel a little exta work in the calf and butt area. Also, my heels or achilles tendons almost always get rubbed raw and blister in new shoes but my feet feel great.I normally wear an 8.5. I got a 9 because I read they may run a little small or narrow but I think the 8.5 would have been perfect. My only other caveats are that they're shinier than they look in the photo (I got the black and purple) which I don't mind but beware in case you do. Also, I have very high arches and I feel these don't have as much arch support as I'd like. That said, I plan to but another pair in a different color. Thumbs up.I bought these in January with two hopes. One was that these shoes would help alleviate back pain from standing/walking long periods (something I heard from several nurses about the original shape ups) and two that I might get a little toning out of it. Unfortunately I haven't really seen either of these benefits. If anything both my back and my feet hurt after wearing these walking around. The insoles seem a little hard which I believe is what makes my feet sore. These are definitely functional shoes but after three or fours hours on hard surfaces I am more than ready to get out of them. The good part is the sizing was spot on and the shoes were in pristine condition. I really wanted this to work out but after 2-3 months of trying I very rarely wear them anymore. I've gone back to my worn out tennis shoes while I search for a better alternative.WOW... Sketchers should never stop making these! So, the reason I purchased this was right after injuring my knee after a workout routine, I wanted some sort of shoes that would easy the impact on my knees... so, after reading many great reviews about the Toners, I gave it a try and I really like them... they are super comfortable and light weight.I enjoy cardio workouts such as Zumba, EA Sports active or a light/med jogging... so these shoes are awesome impact reducers and great for these kind of activities. I bought the silver pink and it is so shiny and gorgeous... kinda like having some bling with your workout gear... It does feel weird when you first wear them, but you will get used to it and not wanting to use your old nike's again... Like any other Shape-up shoes, you should research and figure it out what kind of activity person you are and see which shape-up is best. Now, does it tone your derriere? Not sure, but it does relieve the impact/pressure on your knees and lower back while you exercise... Highly recommend it if you are a dance/cardio type person!THE SHOE FEELS PRETTY MUCH TRUE TO SIZE. I DO HAVE A FEW ISSUES WITH MY FEET - ACHING ARCHES, SORE HEELS ETC. SO I WAS HOPING THIS SHOE WOULD BE GOOD FOR THAT. I HAVE ONLY WORN THE SHOE ONCE BUT IT FEELS VERY COMFORTABLE ON. THE PADS ON THE BOTTOMS PROVIDE IMPACT SUPPORT. I CAN FEEL MY MUSCLES WORKING A BIT HARDER TO COUNTERACT THE IMBALANCE THAT THE PODS PRODUCE. IT MAY TAKE A FEW WEARS BEFORE I CAN SAY IF MY REAR IS LOOKING MORE TONED AND IF AT ALL THERE IS ANY CHANGE NOTICEABLE ANYWHERE...WE'LL SEE.I am quite a few pounds overweight and have been looking for a comfortable walking shoe. I love these for going to town and things like that. HOwever for walking I find the ugly Sketchers shape-ups to be a much more comfortable shoe. I am a fan of Sketchers shoes as they always seem to fit great. However, if you are chubby, you may want to consider shape-ups over this style for long-term walking comfort. That said, I am still very happy with my purchase. These are great trainers, very comfortable and come in very good colours. I am buying my second pair, the first were black and I wear them to walk to work.I am buying a second pair for the gym in silver at a fab price. What's not to like. They are big, I am a 5.5 and a 5 is spot on for me so just go down a size. You do feel them toning once you get a move on, you don't feel like you are walking though as they are so comfortable. I have recommended them to friends and family and they have all bought a pair and love them. I just want to wear them all the time but they don't go with office attire (shame).I bought these as I was starting to walk again after an operation. It took a little getting used to but I love them now and wear them practically all the time. They are comfortable, supportive and easy to put on (which is a consideration for someone like me).I always buy larger trainers to allow foot to move forward when running etc and based on others reviews I went 1/2 a size smaller then i would normally on a trainer. This is still far too big. I am wearing them and fine for walking but if doing aerobics or the like it does not give the required support.I dont consider them any thing special but they are fine as a pair of basic trainers. Just watch generous size.I love skechers footwear. the fit is always good, and they're really comfortable to wear. Just wish they would make some waterproof sneakers for those very frequent rainy days.Skechers sports trainers are so comfortable, you forget your actually wearing any trainers. I'm not in training. They are just so comfortable. you can feel on the backs on your legs that they are toning you as you walk. I'm so pleased with this purchase.
